 Puntitra Kohsuwan from Thailand

How long have you been studying English?
5 month

Why are you studying English? What do you want to do after PELA?
I want to improve my English and if I can speak English very well, I will get a good and high salary job.
After PELA, I should go back in my country. I want to get a new job about international school.

What is your favorite English class or subject? Why?
Integrated skills is my favorite class because I can use many vocabulary from this class in real situation.

What part of learning English is the most challenging for you?
Writing is the most challenging for me because English Writing is very different from my language, so I’m confused. We have to understand vocabulary and grammar.

What do you do Outside of class to improve your English?
When I have a problem, I try to ask to my teachers and friend. I think Tutor Room is very useful. I often try to talk with native speakers in outside.

Give your classmates some advice: How can they improve their English? What helps you to be a good English student?
First time I came to the U.S. I couldn’t understand English very much. I couldn’t understand when teacher taught me. Then, I try to ask my teacher and my friends what I can’t understand, and I always review my course pack least twice per week. I often do my homework by myself.

What are PELA teachers saying about Puntitra?
“Titra is always working hard to improve her English skills, ask intelligent questions, and further her understanding. She always does her homework and often helps other students with their learning.”

I want to know another culture. After PELA I will look for a good job.

I like Listening and Speaking class because it is best way to improve my English faster.

What part of learning English is the most challenging for you?
The grammar is hard for me but I don’t give up and I try with myself.

What do you do Outside of class to improve your English?
I have friends I meet them outside and I play with them soccer to improve my English faster.

Give your classmates some advice: How can they improve their English? What helps you to be a good English student?
They had better don’t be shy and try to speak English with the person who is native speaker or with classmates who don’t use their own language. And try to watch movies with English subtitles and listen to music in English.

What are PELA teachers saying about Ramy?
“Ramy constantly stays after class to ask questions on how to improve his English skills. He asks for extra reading assignments not required in class and is always practicing the language he has just learned. He is also so kind to all his classmates and teachers!”
