Why did you become a teacher? "I became an English teacher because I love language and the way that it connects the many cultures and people of the world. This is my opportunity to help people experience new and different aspects of all the things life has to offer."
What experience do you have learning a foreign language or living in a foreign culture? "I have lived and studied abroad in several places, most prominently in Italy for 5 months and Costa Rica for 1 year."
How has your international experience helped your teaching? "My international experience helped open me up to a big, diverse world which helps me, in turn, with providing a wide-reaching, approachable learning environment."
What do you do when you are away from school? "When I'm away from school I enjoy spending time with friends and family, especially outdoors, especially in the nice spring/summer weather."
Why do you like Portland? "Portland is a beautiful, lively city with a relaxed and welcoming attitude. Not to mention great food and beer."
Why do you recommend our school to students? "I believe our school provides a wonderful opportunity to learn English in a fun, natural, engaging way. I try to bring that approach to my own classes and I know that my colleagues are super committed to providing the best education possible."
